More than 10,000 businesses have set SBTi targets while between the end of 2023 and the end of Q2 2025 the number that set both near-term and net-zero targets increased by 227 percent. Whether this action is prompted by investor pressure or customer expectations, the message is clear: SBTi is increasingly seen as the gold standard for corporate climate target setting.
But setting carbon emission reduction targets and getting them validated by SBTi is not easy. Now businesses have to build a clear understanding of the requirements outlined in v2.0 of the Corporate Net-Zero Standard, as well as handling the work that goes into the normal process of committing, submitting targets and getting them validated.
Whether a business has a full department dedicated to sustainability or just one individual, the process and the new Standard can be difficult to manage. That’s why our GHGP-certified Climate Strategy Advisors are on hand in this webinar to pull out the most important elements of the new standard, when they will apply to your business, and how your business can prepare for them.
