Earlier this year, the SBTi launched its draft V2 Standard, now open for public consultation. Key features include separate targets for Scope 1 and 2 emissions, increased flexibility in Scope 3 target-setting, annual progress tracking, and sector-specific updates, including dedicated guidance for financial institutions.

From June 16 to August 15, companies are invited to participate in a two-phase pilot program: a broad cross-sector survey followed by hands-on testing using real-world emissions data.
